Strategic Restaurants Acquisition Corp. ("SRAC") is providing an opportunity for you to nominate and vote for a local non-profit organization to receive up to $50,000 to help fund their cause. The contest will be divided into two metropolitan areas. The "Baton Rouge Metropolitan Area" will include the following parishes: East Baton Rouge; West Baton Rouge; Ascension and Livingston. The "New Orleans Metropolitan Area" will include the following parishes: Orleans; Plaquemines, Jefferson; St. Tammany; St. Bernard; Tangipahoa; Terrebonne and St. Charles.
NOMINATIONS: Beginning at 12:00 AM Central Time ("CT") on April 3, 2007 through 11:59 PM CT on May 15, 2007 ("Nomination Period"), consumers may visit www.CampaignForYourCause.com and nominate a 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) nonprofit, municipal or civic organization or public school by providing the complete name and address of the organization. Organizations must be located in either the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Area or the New Orleans Metropolitan Area. The nominator must be a resident of the state of Louisiana, age 13 or older as of 4/3/07. All nominations must be received by 11:59 PM CT on May 15, 2007.
Limit one nomination per organization, per person, per day.
At the end of the Nomination Period, the top ten (10) organizations in each Metropolitan Area that received the most nominations will be deemed potential Finalist Organizations, subject to verification (each a "Finalist Organization"). In the event of a tie for tenth place, the organizations with the same number of nominations will be entered into a random drawing and one Finalist Organization will be selected by an independent agency. The ten Finalist Organizations will be contacted by the Sponsor and must provide a Federal Tax Identification Number that will be verified by Sponsor with the Louisiana Secretary of State's Office, and must complete a Letter of Compliance, in order to be confirmed a Finalist Organization. Failure to provide this information within the time allowed will result in forfeiture of Finalist Organization status and selection of an alternate Finalist Organization.
Nominations for organizations without 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) status or individuals or political candidates will not be considered eligible nominations. Final decision on the eligibility of an organization will be in the Sponsor's sole discretion.
VOTING: To vote online: Beginning 12:00 AM CT on June 5, 2007 through 11:59 PM CT on July 13, 2007 ("Voting Period"), consumers may visit www.CampaignForYourCause.com and vote for one of the ten Finalist Organizations. To vote via text messaging: During the Voting Period, consumers with text-messaging enabled wireless devices with any of the following carriers: T-Mobile, Sprint, Cingular, Verizon and other participating carriers, can text-message their vote (individual finalist codes will be determined upon completion of nominating phase and available at www.CampaignForYourCause.com and at participating BURGER KING® restaurants) to 287437 (BURGER). Text messaging requires compatible mobile phone with text messaging and data service. Standard messaging and data rates apply. Some restrictions apply. Voters must be a resident of the state of Louisiana, age 13 or older as of 4/3/07. The Finalist Organization that receives the most votes in each Metropolitan Area will be deemed the Grand Prize Winner and will receive the Grand Prize. The Finalist Organization with the 2nd highest votes in each Metropolitan Area will be deemed the First Prize winner. The Finalist Organization with the 3rd highest votes in each Metropolitan Area will be deemed the 2nd Prize winner. All remaining Finalist Organizations will receive Finalist prizes. In the event of a tie, the Finalist Organization who received the most nominations during the Nomination Period will be deemed the winner.
Limit one vote per person/email address, per day, regardless of method of voting.PRIZES & APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES (ARV): (2) Grand Prizes (1 Grand Prize awarded to each Metropolitan Area): $50,000.00, awarded in the form of a check. (2) First Prizes (1 First Prize awarded to each Metropolitan Area): $25,000.00, awarded in the form of a check. (2) 2nd Prizes (1 2nd Prize awarded to each Metropolitan Area): $11,000.00, awarded in the form of a check. (14) Finalist Prizes (7 Finalist Prizes awarded to each Metropolitan Area): $2,000.00, awarded in the form of a check.
GENERAL RULES: Void where prohibited by law. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, delayed,incomplete, invalid, illegible, unintelligible, mutilated or misdirected nominations/votes, nominations/votes not received by the indicated deadline or for electronic, network or computer failures or malfunctions, lost or unavailable network connections, traffic congestion of wireless waves, or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission that may limit a user's ability to participate in this Contest, or other hardware, software or technical errors of any kind including any injury or damage to any person's computer or wireless device related to or resulting from participating in or experiencing any material in connection with the Contest. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for undeliverable e-mails resulting from any form of active or passive e-mail filtering by a user's Internet service provider and/or e-mail client or insufficient space in user's e-mail account to receive e-mail. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for undeliverable text messages. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the online or text message portion of the Contest if fraud, misconduct or technical failures destroy the integrity of the Contest or if a computer virus, bug, or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, or proper administration of the Contest as determined by Sponsor/judging agency/administrator, in their sole discretion. If the online or text message portion is so cancelled, contest finalist organizations/prizes will be determined from eligible nominations/votes received prior to the time of termination. Proof of submitting nominations/votes will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Any use of robotic, automatic, programmed or the like methods of participation will void all submissions by such methods. Sponsor reserves the right to prohibit the participation of an individual if fraud or tampering is suspected, or if the individual fails to comply with any requirement of participation as stated herein or with any provision in these official rules. INTERNET CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW. No substitution or transfer of prize permitted. All federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations apply. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize of equal or greater value. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to Sponsor to use 501(c)(3) or 501 (c)(4) organization's or public school's name for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation. By accepting prize, 501(c)(3) or 501 (c)(4) organization or public school agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, Burger King Corporation, its subsidiaries, affiliates and franchisees and their respective directors, officers, employees and assigns, against any and all claims, damages, losses, expenses and liability arising out of acceptance or use of prize. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing, the offering or in the announcement of any prize or in the administration of the Contest.
