To ensure that your vote is counted, please be as specific as possible when nominating your local cause.
4. How many times can I nominate and vote?
At CampaignForYourCause.com you can nominate and vote for your cause only once per day. Text messages to 287437 (BURGER) can be submitted only once per day during the voting phase.
5. Can I nominate more than one cause?
Yes. But you can only nominate one cause per day at CampaignForYourCause.com.
6. My family shares one computer at home. Each of us wants to vote, but after the first of us votes, the website says “You are only allowed one nomination per day.” How can we all vote once a day on the same computer?
In order to make participating in this promotion fun and easy for you, we decided to not collect names, email addresses and other personal information besides your date of birth. Instead, we place what is called a “cookie” on your computer to track your one nomination per day. Multiple nominations on a single computer are possible. Here’s how you do it: your computer has the capability to allow multiple users to have different log in information. If each member in your family that would like to nominate has their own log in and password, simply have one person log in, nominate and then log out. Then, the next family member can do the same thing. This can continue until each person has nominated. The cookies are removed 24 hours after you nomination to enable you to nominate again the next day.
7. How are winners selected?
The top ten finalists for each New Orleans and Baton Rouge are selected based on the number of nominations received to advance to the voting phase. At the end of the voting phase, all ten finalists from each of the metropolitan areas are awarded different amounts of the $100,000, based on the number of votes they receive - 1st Place: $50,000, 2nd Place: $25,000, 3rd Place: $11,000 and 4th through 10th Places: $2,000 each.
